R.U.A. Video Launch at Graffiti Biennal São Paulo
We can finally launch the officially video “making-of” of R.U.A. – Reflexo on Urban Art that happened in Rotterdam last year.
Gustavo Amaral has been struggling with his computer, editing software, transfering from PAL to NTSC and back, trying to understand Dutch and anything else you can imagine he had to overcome in order to make that video happen!!
We are proud to announce the official launch on the Graffiti Biennal of São Paulo that is in its heat at the moment. Writers from all over Brazil and the rest of the world are painting, exhibiting work and debating about graffiti, showing movies, discussing and having lots and lots of fun for sure.
Our hero Gustavo is part of all that…to represent R.U.A.!!
And to keep you updated about the murals…Evert is still riding his bike around town and makes fabulous shots of everything going on around the walls. Rotterdam is a dynamic city and we are always curious to know what they are planning around Dalata’s wall…and Onio’s wall…and Ramon’s wall…
Snowy R.U.A. Part 2
December 28th, 2009Well…I guess those pictures speak for themselves!!
Snowy R.U.A. Happy 2010 – Part 1
December 28th, 2009Although R.U.A. festival has passed for the Brazilian writers who were in Rotterdam this summer, for Rotterdam it is far from over!
The art remains standing strong, in all types of weather and last week it has been snowing like crazy in Holland.
Our one and only, hardcore photographer Evert Eijkelenboom regularly makes his trip around town, to shoot some new images…
These ones we couldn’t keep for ourselves!!
We would like to use this opportunity to wish you all a fantastic and artistic 2010!
Enjoy!
Finally!!!
October 7th, 2009After a long delay and a lot of requests, I give you Dalata’s wall!!!
Ramon…are you serious…?! Did you finish your wall???
September 29th, 2009In the Kromme Elleboog we got surprised again and again with the bright colours of Ramons painting explosions! It has been a while now, but when he almost finsihed his wall, it was amazing to see how he’d add more and more little details…We’ve been waiting too long to show you…Check it out…Ramon surfing his own waves!
Last but not least…
September 29th, 2009Yes…yes!! We are still alive…after a few computer crashes later…some lost images and some survival acts…a few weeks and many events later, we couldn’t let you wait any longer…what happened to all the walls in Rotterdam?
First of all we would like to show you a few different perspectives of Onio’s last wall…
Gais’ wall at the NAi had great attention during De Wereld van de Witte de With. The light was beautiful and it was amazing to have it as a decoration for the festival. The good news afterwards was that the NAi wants to keep the painting one more month again!! Let’s see how it will work next month!
Dalata’s sweat and tears!
September 1st, 2009If you think that the artists painting these walls, are all as fast as Onio, Onesto and Yusk, you’re wrong. Some of them really work hard to get all the details and effects perfectly in shape…Dalata is one of them. He is sweating and suffering in his struggle to end his work on his wall in the Boomgaardhof. It isn’t easy now the weather is changing and wind and rain are bothering every now and then. The result though, is one we can enjoy for long…People are very entusiastic about the art and sit for hours to observe the mysteries Dalata hid in the painting…
NRC HANDELSBLAD…In the news!! And we reached the news again…!
Ramon quebrando tuuuudooooo!!
August 29th, 2009No words can express the extraordinary colour explosion and velocity in which Ramon Martins is paintig his wall. If you’d go on a ride with Ramon in his cherry picker, you’d feel as if you’re participating in a video game. He’s managing his machine playing with the buttons flying up and down like crazy…Ramon is definately not the one who takes weeks before he dares to go to the top! (Yusk…!?) Whoever is afraid of hights should not go with him. The luxury though – to be able to observe his work from close – is worth everything!
Horoiwa still rockin’ in the Dutch!!
August 29th, 2009Although he has left this monday, Horoiwa keeps on going as if he is still around. The rainy weather is playing with the colours, which makes the wall everyday a little different. And national newspapers still write about him! We will not easily forget him…!
